Let go of the wheel so you can get behind the will. – The Real MaCoya
Many times, especially for me, I get caught up in my plans, what I want and expect to see and take place in my life. The truth is, I can’t expect everything to go my way when I’m supposedly submitting my life to God. Just like any father, He has plans for His children, so what happens when those plans clash with our own?
We’d be surprised by how many opportunities and blessings we miss out on because they don’t show up in a way that we expect them to. Faith without works is dead so we can’t expect to get anywhere without having control of the “wheel” of our lives. But what happens when we want to go our own route instead of following God’s lead? We get so caught up in keeping control of the wheel that we don’t realize that we need to let go of the “wheel” so we can remain in God’s “will” for our lives.
I read a particular story a few years ago and it was so inspiring in regards to this exact post. It paints a vivid picture of how our prayers are answered but not always in the ways we expect. But does that mean that God didn’t answer? Why don’t you see for yourself….
Peace and love.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. – Proverbs 19:21 (ESV)
