You Won’t Be Disappointed

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5 (NLT)

Today is a day that many of us will never forget. For those that have lost loved ones or may be going through a dry season, be encouraged on today and know that God is with you and His will, will always prevail. Below is the Psalm 23 chapter that I broke down to encourage and saturate my spirit and meditate on what this beloved scripture really means. There is no better day than today to share it with you all. Be blessed.

The Lord is my shepherd – God leads and guides my life in all that I do.

I have all that I need – God, my shepherd, is taking care of all of my needs, there is no lack.

He lets me rest in green meadows –despite what I’m going through I can rest knowing that God has my back and has everything in His control.

He leads me beside peaceful streams –I need to remind myself that everything is in God’s hands and to take in life with joy and not let anything or anyone disturb my peace.

He renews my strength –where I’m weak God is strong and I need to realize that the burdens are not mine to carry, the battle is already won and I have the victory in every situation in my life.

He guides me along right paths –God will never lead me to a place that is not meant to grow me and I will continue to seek His will before I make any decision and will aim to walk according to His word and will.

Bringing honor to His name –everything that I go through has a purpose and God will get the glory out of every trial and tribulation that comes my way.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley –God is with me wherever I go even when it feels like He isn’t there, I will continue to seek Him through the good and the bad.

I will not be afraid for you are close beside me –I can sleep peacefully knowing that God is watching over me and covering me, I will not be moved by what I see for God has the final say.

Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me –Even in times where I stray away from God He will be there to correct me and bring me back to a place of fellowship with Him, as long as I’m willing.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies –Vengeance is the Lord’s, I will not be moved by what others say about me or try to do to me, I will let my righteousness shine forth knowing that God will take care of my enemies on my behalf.

You honor me by anointing my heard with oil –I have been set apart to be used for God’s glory, God is gracing me and equipping for where He is taking me, I will not be swayed or detoured from reaching my goals.

My cup overflows with blessings –I am blessed and highly favored and my faithfulness and obedience will not go unrewarded.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life –God’s mercy, favor and grace shall follow me and take over me all the days of my life.

And I will live in the house of the Lord forever –I have vowed to give my life to God and honor Him with my mind, body and spirit.

Amen.

What has you down today? Give it to God!! He can do more with it in His hands than you can with in your hands and on your mind. Trust that He will bring His promises to pass and that you will not be disappointed. This time last year my husband and I had to trust God while going through a season of discomfort knowing that greater was on the other end. Something that we originally thought to be 2 weeks turned into over a year long process but we know that God was using this season to prune us and prepare us. Now we’re waiting with great expectancy for God to move and show Himself mighty in our lives. Goals and dreams that seemed like they would always remain on a vision board have materialized themselves into reality. The sun is rising!! The same is happening for you. Continue to trust God, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Peace and love.

But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you. – Psalm 39:7 (NIV)
