Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. – Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
Isn’t letting go the hardest thing to do? Whether it’s material possessions, past hurt and mistakes, unforgiveness, loved ones or plans for the future letting go and trusting God isn’t for the faint of heart. I know this struggle all too well and my Goliath in this area has been letting go of my plans. What’s worse is just when I think I’m doing well, my plans try to sneak up on me, overtake me and cause me to enter into over-thinker mode. #Jesusfixit

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. – Luke 22:31 (NLT)
If the enemy has to ask for permission to sift us as wheat (whether spiritual or natural attacks) we should know that when we’re going through various trials it’s because God has allowed it. When God has allowed a test to come our way, although it may seem like we’re at the end of the end, our current tests are only working for our good. (James 1:2, Romans 8:28)
So consider following Job’s example in Job 1 and praise the name of the Lord in spite of your current circumstances. Don’t complain, push pass the pain!!
Peace and love.
Even WHEN I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me…. – Psalm 23:4 (NLT)
“For Your glory, I will do anything. Just to see You, to behold You as my King.”
Too often I’ve caught myself desiring more of God’s hand and not His heart. I’ve allowed my circumstances to compromise my fellowship with Him. I would get so caught up in what God promised, what I expected to see and the fact that I wasn’t seeing it to affect my praise, my worship and my prayer. But I didn’t realize that if I would just seek Him all of those things would be added unto me anyways. (Matthew 6:33) It may not happen when I wanted it to, but it would surely come and would not delay. (Galatians 6:9) But let’s be real, you don’t just have a desire to chase after God’s heart overnight. It’s a process. And sometimes God will allow you to go through to see where your heart really is. Boy, boy, boy I’ve failed that test plenty of times. But thanks to my gracious God, He picks me back up, dusts me off and brings me back into fellowship with Him. Dusty and all, as long as I’m willing.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. – Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. – Colossians 1:11-12 (NLT)
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. – Romans 12:12 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. – James 1:2-3 (NLT)
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. – James 1:12 (NLT)
As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. – 2 Thessalonians 3:13 (NLT)
There’s nothing like casting your cares on God just to be like “ok what do I do next?” Trust me I’ve been there and it can really be a struggle. But according to God’s word, we keep pressing, praying, living according to the Word and believing that in just the right time God is going to move on our behalf! I wrote this short post to encourage you and to give you an extra push during your week. So don’t give up, meditate on the above scriptures because you’re too close to quit!
***P.S. We’re still waiting on God to move on our behalf on something that has been a year long process. I will make a blog post soon enough on how trusting and waiting on God can prove to be one of the best decisions you can ever make. So don’t worry I haven’t forgotten. I’m just waiting on God here!!! ;)***
Peace and love!
Let go of the wheel so you can get behind the will. – The Real MaCoya
Many times, especially for me, I get caught up in my plans, what I want and expect to see and take place in my life. The truth is, I can’t expect everything to go my way when I’m supposedly submitting my life to God. Just like any father, He has plans for His children, so what happens when those plans clash with our own?

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Have faith. Live in faith. Walk by faith.
I hear these phrases often, either through exuberant gusto or quiet whispers from myself and others. There are also times where I say it more out of frustration than encouragement, but either way I know that I am supposed to have faith. I NEED to have faith!
But I am at that point where I am tired of hearing about it, talking about it and praying for it. I want it to come, show up, take over and transform my entire life. But the truth is, there are circumstances that come, show up, take over and transform my entire life. And they’re not always good circumstances either. (Insert sad face here.)

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. – Matthew 5:13 (NKJV)
Now-a-days no one would like to categorized or referred to as “salty.” For those of you that may not know what the urban definition of salty is, it pretty much means that you are “bitter, upset, jealous” or any other synonymous word you can link to it. But the truth is, being salty is actually a good thing according to Matthew. So how can one be “salty” in a good way?

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
Many times in life we get to a point in our lives where we are tired of waiting. We’re tired of hearing that “a change is gonna come and “it’s not over til God says it’s over.” The truth is, when we get to that point, then at “that point” we’re no longer operating in faith. We’ve allowed our circumstances to dimmer our zeal and great faith in God.
